Summerlee Museum P1-4 - The children visited Summerlee Museum as part of their 1970's topic.  They had a workshop where they got to see lots of items and dressing up clothes from the 1970's.  They then got a Tram to the miners village and a tour down the mine as well.. They all had a great day and the weather was good too which helped.
Dumfries House P5-6 - The children had a day at Dumfries House and attended 2 science workshops.  The morning one was all about Satellite and Aerospace, they had to make thier own Rocket with a space junk collector then tried them out to see if they worked.  The second workshop was all about GPS so they went on a Treasure Hunt through the woods using a GPS Navigator.  They all had a great day and learned lots.

Sports Day - We were joined by Libberton and we had a full day of activities.  In the morning we had 5 Team events which required the children to use lots of different skills to complete them, the winning team was Tweed.  They all then had a lovely lunch which was Wrap & Go which provided them with more energy to go on and do the races in the afternoon.  The winners were P1-2 Mia Sykes and Fraser May, P3-5 Niamh Alcock, Valentina McCalpine & Alexander Earl, P6-7 Alice Lyon and Cameron May.  All children had a great day.
